PREMISES FOR CAR CLUB
Council To Accept Objections
A motor enthusiasts’ organisation the Rod Benders’ Club, is seeking permission from the City Council to move its headquarters to the concrete building formerly used by the Canterbury Rowing Club on the bank of the Avon river, just north of the Fitzgerald avenue bridge. Objections to the proposal will be accepted by the council up to Monday, August 5. Conditions which would apply on the granting of the application are that no work be done on vehicles outside the building, that no cars be parked on the bank, that the area be kept tidy, and that no nuisance be caused to nearby residents
