Dr. J E. Caughey, former associate-professor of neurology at the University of Otago Medical School, has been appointed to the chair of intern®] medicine at the new medical school at Mosul. Iraq.—(P.A.) Mr K. R. Newson, senior lecturer in music at the Christchurch Teachers’ College has been elected a life member of the School Music Association of Great Britain He is musical director of the Christchurch School Music Association and immediate past president of the New Zealand School Music Association. He addressed the British body's annual conference at Oxford in 1959
