Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone centred east of Canterbury covers New Zealand. Forecast:— Marlborough.—Light to moderate easterly winds, floudy, with some drizzle patches at first, but becoming partly cloudy; cool temperatures. Canterbury, Buller and Westland.—Moderate north-easterlies about the Canterbury coast, other, wise light, variable winds: cloudy and cool. Nelson.—Light, variable winds; partly and cool. Outlook: cloudy.
