Ilbint won by two lengths from Mlnstrelefte. with Lady Rashleigh a length and a half away third. Ilbint which had won on a heavy track at Mornington at her only previous start In Australia on May 29. ran the six furlongs leas 30 yards in Imin betting plunge on the former New Zealand ' horse. Clean Heart, went astray when he fell 330 yards after the start of the Plenty Hurdle. Clean Heart, backed from 6-1 to eaual favourite at 3/1. nosed ved at the first hurdle. His rider, the New Zealander, p Mohi. who was having his first ride on the Moonee Valley course, was taken to the casualty room by ambulance. Meh! suffered a shaking and abrasion.
