The former New Zealand racehorse. Phoenician 11. won the 10.000 dollars Montedtc Country Club Purse on I disqualification at Hollywood Park today, the Associated Press of America reported. The judges gave the race to the nine-year-old New Zealand horse after disqualifying Dr. J. Howard for drifting off the line at the finish. Dr. J. Howard was placed second.

Phoenician Ils jockey claimed the foul. It was his third straight win at Hollj • wood Park.

Struck By Car.—A minor injury to the left leg was suffered by John Robert Halliday, of 62 Poulson street, when he was knocked over by a car in Moorhouse avenue, opposite the railway station, about 620 p.m. on Saturday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital.
