Eight thousand waterside workers in Melbourne and Sydney were today granted an interim wage rise ot 2ld an hour, bringmg their ordinary Pay rate to 12s 2jd an hour. The main hearing of the watersiderg* claims for a 7s an hour pay increase will begin before a full bench of the Arbitration Commission tomorrow.
