(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) CARACAS, June 12. Heavily armed terrorists yesterday burned the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Company warehouse in Caracas, causing an estimated 500,000 dollars damage. It was the second attack on the warehouse in a year. The attack was the latest terrorist raid on American installations in Venezuela. Several firemen narrowly escaped from under steel girders supporting the roof of the warehouse which collapsed.
The attack was the second in six days to be carried out by the anti-Government underground Armed Forces of National Liberation. Last week, terrorists raided and burned an American military mission office and forced six servicemen to strip to their underclothes. A month ago. terrorists attacked and burned a Sears, Roebuck warehouse in the same industrial area as today’s raid, causing an estimated million dollars’ damage.
