CLASS IN MAORI
Extension By Request
In most educational circles it must be rare for a class to ask for more work. A case has been reported however, from the adult education department of the University of Canterbury. The popularity of Maori studies among Ashburton people has led them to request an extension of the language classes arranged for them last term by the department.
The executive tutor of the course, Mr I, G. Clark, said in Christchurch yesterday that the course, tutored by Mr L. Royal, would definitely be continued. The response and interest of the class of 30 were most gratifying, he said.
