Body Found In Mine Shaft
The body of a resident of Dillmanstown in die Kumara district was found about 2 pm. yesterday by a search party in an old mining shaft, ■which contained a good deal of water. He was
John Gemmell Ritchie, aged
Mr Ritchie had been reported missing on Tuesday morning. He had turned his cows out to pasture before 9 am. on Tuesday and not been' seen since.
The police search party •was organised by Constable R. J. Strachan, who was assisted by three constables from the Greymouth police station and some local residents.
