5000 MILES IN STOLEN CAR
Vehicle Used For Series Of Thefts
(W.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 11.
A man who converted a car in Hamilton drove if 5000 miles in 27 days and during tha-t time committed a series of thrifts in which property stolen and damage done amounted to £928 Senior Sergeant G. A. Dallow said in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland today. Peter Fairfax Vail, aged 25 a workman, pleaded guility to converting the oar, five charges of breaking and entering houses, and two of theft.
Vbil and Barry William Orr. aged 25. a workman. also pleaded guilty to six joint charges of breaking and entering service stations. Mr F. McCarthy. SN, convicted them of all charges and remanded them till June IB for sentence “I think these two may have to go to the Supreme Court for sentence.” said the Magistrate.
