OIL CATCHES FIRE
Spectacular Blaze In Garage
When an accidental overflow from an oil-burning heater caught fire in the premises of Gloucester Motors, Ltd., 332 Gloucester street, yesterday morning, there was a spectacular blaze. The oil burst into a sheet of flame, and then there was a pall of black smoke. The heater was in the workshop, and mechanics had a hectic few minutes in getting nine cars hurriedly out of the workshop. Two engines from the Central Fire Station answered the call at 9.59 a.m., and put out the fire, using carbondioxide foam. The fire charred rafters in the workshop, and the heat broke nine panes in the rear windows.
