FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone is centred east of Otago, while a cold front advances on to the South Island from the west. Forecast:—
Canterbury and Marlborough.—Light to moderate variable winds, mainly south-easterlies about Marlborough; cloudy, with a few scattered light showers; cold temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy.
Nelson.—Light winds; fine, with cool day temperatures and frosts. Outlook: fine.
Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate variable winds; variable skies, with a few light showers, chiefly in North Westland and Buller; cool temperatures Outlook: partly cloudy.
