Painted " Joe” On Cars

A youth who spray-painted the word “Joe’’ on two cars in Napier so that he could not be accused of being “chicken” was convicted on two charges of wilful damage and one of disorderly behaviour when he appeared before Mr W. A. Harlow, S.M., in the Napier Magistrate’s Court today.

The youth is Kevin Monahan, aged 17, a welder, of Hastings.

Monahan was convicted and fined £lO and ordered to pay restitution of £5 on each of the two charges of wilful damage. On the charge of disorderly behaviour he was ordered to pay £5 prosecution costs, and was disqualified from driving for three months.
