Steady Start To Stock Exchange Trading
I rading on New Zealand stock exchanges opened the week yesterday with most shares changing hands at steady prices. New Zealand shares showed 20 rises to seven falls, while overseas issues had eight rises and three falls.
Andrews and Beaven shares rose Is fid to 41s 6d, while the notes added another Is to last week’s sharp gain to sell at 425. Alex Harvey B advanced 2s to come almost into line with the old shares.
Best gains among overseas issues were made by Bums Philp, up 3s at 4s, and \\ oolworths notes, up 6d at 12s 3d. Colonial Sugar lost 9d to 5 Is.
