Fire Hydrant Faults
The Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board has asked toe Lyttelton Borough Council to ensure that all its fire hydrants are in order. A recent inspection had shown there were many hydrant faults in the Lyttelton area, said a letter from the board received by toe council last evening. Some hydrants were marked incorrectly. The matter was referred to the council’s water committee.
