Escaped Man Sighted
(N Z Press Assoctatton) AUCKLAND. June 10
Police were searching the Tarewa area this afternoon for a prisoner who escaped from Rangipo prison on Saturday night.
He is Hitau Mehaka Rewi. a Maori, aged 27. Fourteen policemen and prison warders have been searching the bush and the prisoner was sighted about 2 p m today. Police believe Rewi is making his way to National Park.
