N.A.T.O. Force Opposed

The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr Lester Pearson, has rejected the idea of Canadian participation in the proposed N.A.T.O. seaborne strategic nuclear force, according to the Canadian Press. He told the Canadian House of Commons: ”1 do not think it will be likely that we will wish to add to our existing responsibilities and commitments by participating In this kind of multilateral nuclear force.”
