Reunion For Century (.Y Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 9. The pioneer days in NewZealand a century ago were recalled by a family reunion in Auckland at the week-end Nearly 300 descendants of Mr and Mrs A. E Wild, who arrived in New Zealand in the sailing ship Aloe on June 7, 1863, gathered at Mount Albert on Saturday for the centenary. Members of the family came from many parts of-the North Island even from Australia for the reunion. Messages were received from descendants in England and America. The family established itself in New Zealand when Mr Alfred Edward Wild, his wife. Sarah Elizabeth, and their six children, arrived in Auckland from London 100 years ago. Mr Wild was a shoemaker. The family tree shows almost 400 direct descendants Living in 1963.
