ADVISER-FARM PLANNING TRANGIE RURAL SERVICE NARROMINE RURAL SERVICE These Services have recently been formed with 40 members each. Average size of properties in Trangie Group is 7500 acres, within 30 miles radius, while Narromine Group is within 20 miles radius, with average size, 4000 acres. Trangie and Narromine are 21 miles apart. Activities In the districts are mainly wheat, fat lambs, beef cattle, merino sheep (with Irrigation at Narromine). DUTIES: Long-range systematic property planning on soundest technical and economic lines. The Adviser wiU deal with normal agronomic problems and organise such trial work, field days, etc, as required. QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in agricultural or Rural Science or equivalent. Some suitable post-graduate experience is desirable, and knowledge of economics an advantage. The Adviser must have the right personality to reach a basis of /trust and understanding with members. SALARY: Commencing salary in the range of £2OOO-£2400 pa., depending on experience, with annual increments. Superannuation scheme will be available. The Adviser is required to provide his own car and will be paid for its use on mileage rates.
