Harewood Has Fine Record
With a fine win over Rawhiti in the final round of the Blank Cup inter-club competition yesterday, the young Harewood team retained Its unbeaten record, winning the trophy by two points from Waitikiri and Russley. which shared second position. On its performance, the Harewood team now warrants Woodward Cup status. In addition to the Blank Cup, a team from the Harewood Young People's Chib has also won the Simon Cup twice since it started competing in inter-club competition four years ago. The team, which had seven wins, included two players only 16 years old. Only one player was more than 20. A spokesman from the club said yesterday that it was particularly pleasing that the Blank Cup had been won by the Harewood team as the late Mr- A. R. Blank had founded the olub.
