Lenehan May Miss Tour (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) PERTH. June 9. The Wallaby Rugby team left on its South African tour last night leaving behind the injured full-back. J. Lenehan, an Australian test player since 1957. , Lenehan had a recurrence of a knee injury while playing for Australia against Western Australia in Perth yesterday, which the Wallabies won. 29-3. After a doctor had examined Lenehan, the tour manager (Mr W. McLaughlin) decided it was too riskv to take him to South Africa at this stage. He decided to send Lenehan back to Sydney for an orthopaedic check and X-Ray.

Mr McLaughlin said that if Lenehan proved fit with in a fortnight, he possibly then would be sent to South Africa. A replacement for Lenehan, if he did not prove fit. would likely be left to the selectors remaining tn Australia.
