HARRIERS K. Connell Breaks Junior Record

With a record-breaking run, the Canterbury junior champion K. Connell (Shirley) took fastest time honours in the jupior division of the Methodist Harrier Club’s Governor’s Bay to Lyttelton handicap race on Saturday. Connell’s time of 31min 42sec for the six miles lowered last year's time of K Jago (Olympic) by Imin 29 sec.

In gaining senior fastest time, B Turner (Baptist), winner of the "New Brighton 50” earlier in the year, was 39sec outside J. K. Macdonald's 29min 14sec of last season.
