ITALIAN ENGINEERING ACHIEVEMENT.—This viaduct over the Fiumarella torrent, in Catanzaro Province, Italy, is one of the major engineering feats on the Two Seas Highway, which joins the Tyrrhenian and lonian coasts. Economic growth in southern Italy depends greatly on better road communications for the marketing of produce, and the new highway is an excellent example of current public works.
