The Lecturer may have specialised in biochemistry, organic chemistry or physical chemistry. The duties of the post include both teaching and fundamental research, with emphasis on the latter. Teaching would be in the field of general biochemistry and research would be on such aspects of the chemistry or biochemistry of plant viruses as the successful applicant wishes to investigate.
