Parties “May Fade”
(N.Z. Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, May 29. The Labour and National Parties could fade from the political scene by 1980, the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nordsneyer) told Hawke’s Bay Jaycees at Napier last night. The Reform and Liberal Parties had gone from the scene and it did not follow that there would be a National or Labour Party in 1980, he said. It was possible another party would emerge to capture the support of the electors, Mr Nordmeyer said.
