EVANGELISTS FROM U.S.
Methodist Schools To Be Held Two leading Methodist evangelists from the United States, the Rev. Dr. H. Denman and the Rev. Dr. J, Manning Potts, will visit New Zealand in July to conduct Methodist schools of evangelism in main centres. Christchurch will be the venue of the only school in the South Island, and about 150 Methodist ministers and laymen will attend. Dr. Denman and Dr. Potts will begin their activities in Chmistchurch. and will later conduct schools in Palmerston North, Hamilton, and Auckland. The school will be held from July 1 to July 5 in the Durham street Methodist Church. Each morning, addresses and tutorials on evangelism will be given by the visitors, and in the afternoons and evenings evangelism will be practised in house-to-house visits in same parts of the city and some suburban and rural areas. Persons called on will be invited to attend group discussions on religion. Dr. Denman and Dr. Potts will address a central rally on Thursday, July 4. On Friday after the closing of the school. Dr. Denman will travel to Nelson, and Dr. Potts to Dunedin to conduct services on Sunday before going to the North Island.
