1964 Titles To Be Sponsored
The 1964 national water ski. Ing championships which will be held at Lakeside, on Lake Ellesmere, in March are to be sponsored by W. D. and H. O. Wills. Ltd In his report to the annual meeting of the Canterbury Regional Water Ski AaaoclaUon. the retiring president (Mr G. Baudlnet) said that this would relieve the Canterbury region of having to guarantee the championships by £3OO. but there was still a tremendous amount of organisation needed in planning the meeting. Mr Gaudmet congratulated the successful Canterbury skiers who had taken part in this year's national championships. W. Flewellyn had registered a record jump. Miss F Willette had been selected for the Australian tour, and Vaughan Bulllvant and Colleen Wliletta had done very well In junior events.
Officers elected for the coming year were as follows: President. Mr R. Butler; oastpresident, Mr G. Baudlnet; vice-presidents. Messrs E Coombes. B. Begg. E. Ruske. R. Buick, and R. Smith; aecretary. Mr R Peryer; treasurer. Mr V. Stewart.
