B Gormack 3, Mis* M. Wilson 4 Boatwood is the Canterbury singles titleholder, and was runner-up to Henderson in the last Queen's Birthday tournament. Duckmanton has not been available lor representa'ive team* for th* last four seasons, and although he does not play regularly is still a very formidable player. In the top half of the draw Boatwood and Reid will meet strong opposition from B Crofts and B. Cgier. Duckmanton and Ford will also have hard matches with Yen and Wy’ie in the bottom draw Miss Davidson, if she continue* her present term, should have little difficulty in justifying her first seeding.
