Final Hearing By Committee The special sub-committee of the City Council which has sat to hear allegations by Cr M B Howard against the Traffic Superintendent (Mr J F Thomas) and the administration of the traffic department met again vesterday to allow Mr Thomas to answer 'he allegations At the beginning of the meeting newspaper representatives were outside the committee room They were told a minute or two later that the sub-committee had decided that any report would be made direct to the council
Dr J. Williams, the viceehancellor of Victoria University of Wellington, and Mrs Williams left Wellington by air yesterday for England on a four-month visit.— (P.A.)
