CURRENT NOTES
Spiritual Training,— Father B. Meeking addressed members of the Catholic Women’s League during a recent leadership training course. Speaking on “Equipping Ourselves for the Task." he said the basis of any such training for a Christian woman was essentially spiritual. Members formed discussion groups, and questions were referred to Father Meeking. Electrical Association.— Captain A. R. Champion lectured and showed films on the Antarctic at a recent meeting of the Women's Electrical Association. Mrs A. Schumacher presided at the meeting. Columba Old Girls.— The following officers were elected at the recent annual meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Columba Col-lege-Old Girls’ Association:— president, Mrs F. L. H. Davis; vice-presidents. Mesdames R Nie, H. W Thompson; secretary, Mrs K. M. Moore; treasurer, Miss V. Brown; committee, Mesdames J. Johnson, B. R. Cook, R. B. Kay, K Shacklock, D J. Timms, Misses E. Chapman, and J. Gardiner.
