Man Dragged , To Safety

While a break-down truck prevented his wrecked car from crashing to the bottom of a 30-f.xst guily a gerniconacious 21-year-old farmer was dragged to safety by police a few miles south of New Plymouth this afternoon.

The injured man » lan Wallace Wickham, of Junction road. New Plymouth. He was taken by ambukirx-e to hospital where his condition was described tonight as satisfactory. His injuries were not serious police said. highway when the small late-model car failed to necntiate a comer, rolled over, hit a power pole and careered over a bank, coming to rest about 15ft down acaln&t tree branches.
