Fire-Bomb Thrown
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) JACKSON (Mississippi), May 29. A fire-bomb was thrown early today into the house of a negro leader of the campaign to desegregate public > facilities and businesses in the Mississippi capital. Noone was hurt. United Press International reported. The negro, Mr Edgar Evers, said his wife and children were in the house at the. time of the incident. The extent of damage was not immediately determined. Mr Evers, who is the State field secretary for the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People, launched a demonstration yesterday to back up integration demands. The Associated Press reported today that the fire bomb landed in Mr Even's carport, and caused smoke damage to his car.
