Nylon
Sir, —The farmers are very .perturbed about the nylon factory, as they were about the cotton mill—a British company bringing the capital here. Maybe organised opposition will get this weakkne'ed Government to cancel this agreement, also. “We will stablise the cost of living ” Sugar prices rising again! What a joke! Grocers have told me the sugar rises are just a racket as they are not warranted—Yours, etcT H BITMEAD. May 29. 1963.
Arm Replaced.— A truck driver whose right arm was torn off and sewn on again has been back at work for the last two weeks. Half a ton of iron bars fell on Alain Vichey, aged 24. tearing off his arm from the middle of the biceps. The operation, last February, was believed to be the first of its kind.—Dijon (East France), May 28.
