C.I.B. Theft
IN.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 28. Top-ranking New South Wales police officers are investigating the theft of a large sum of money from a safe at Sydney’s C. 1.8. headquarters. Police said tonight that between £l5OO and £3OOO had been taken from a safe in a storeroom on the ground floor of the C. 1.8. A detective discovered the robbery this morning when he noticed that two locks had been broken on a shutter outside the store.
