Ponds Attract Many Birds
The Christchurch Drainage Board's oxidisation ponds had been adopted as a habitat by a variety of water-fowl and other birds, although none of the rarities reported from the Auckland ponds had yet been observed the assistant-direc-tor of the Canterbury Museum Mr E G Turbott. said yesterday. “Three varieties of ducks—grey, shoveller and mallardhave been seen, and some paradise ducks have visited,” . he said
