ALL BLACK MANAGER
Mr F. D. Kilby Nominated Mr F. D. Kilby, a former All Black, has been nominated by the Canterbury Rugby Union for the position of manager of the New Zealand team to tour Britain in 1963-64. Mr Kilby represented New Zealand in 1928, 1932 and 1934 while he was playing for Wellington.
Referee Walks Off (N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, May 13. A referee walked from the field some minutes before the end of play after a brawling Rugby match between Rangiruiru and Te Puke Pirates junior teams, at Te Puke, on Saturday. The referee. Mr R. L. Massey, had repeatedly warned both sides that if fighting and wrestling did not cease he would take action.
Another referee abandoned a senior Rugby match at Muraipara on Saturday.
