League For Hard Of Hearing The Christchurch branch of the New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing celebrated its silver jubilee a»t a conversazione in the Teachers’ College hall . in Christchurch on Saturday. Dr. Malcolm Robertson, president of the Christchurch branch, welcomed members and guests, and later Dr. A. C. Millar, representing the Board of Governors of the N.Z. League, addressed the gathering The Mayor of Christchurch, Mr G. Manning, congratulated the league, and wished it well in its future work. There are 380 Hard of Hearing League members in Christchurch, and the oldest. Mrs J. G. Polson, a foundation member, cut the silver jubilee cake. A varied programme of entertainment included a oneact comedy, presented by the Little Theatre.
