Survey Shows Much Interest (N Z. Press Assn. —C’opynahtt LONDON, May 9 A survey among 7344 readers of the British social science weekly. “New Society,” shows tha<t 42 per cent of those in the survey had at some time considered migrating from Britain. Of these. 29 per cent thought of going to New Zealand—the most popular choice—and 27 per cent, to Australia —next in popularity Results of the survey which dealt with whet readers
thought of current major moral, social and practical problems were released today

Only two per cent of the sample thought that military P'>wpr was any longer an important factor in making Britain "great" in the future ‘New Society" said that th? survey was clearly middle-class. young and masculine in bias Most of those taking part were students. lecturers, teachers or other professional men In the section of the survey dealing with migration readers said tha-t they were r ncipally attracted by thoughts of a higher standard of living, better working conditions. and a more congen ial social system when they considered leaving Britain
