LULLABY
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 9. Loud snoring interrupted an election speech by ' le Minister of Labour (Mr Shand) at Point Chevalier tonight. They came from a man who earlier heckled Mr Shand and the National Party candidate for the Grey Lynn by-election, Mr R. J. Presland. The snores broke out with renewed vigour as Mr Shand was quoting figures. '“’h, chum, it’s a bit difficult you know,” said Mr Shand. The man woke up but was soon asleep again. The anores provided an accompaniment for the last half hour of Mr Shand’s speech.
