CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
N.Z. Tour Held Success
The New Zealand tour by 24 members of the Australian Christian Endeavour had been successful and worthwhile. the national director (the Rev. H. N. Pell), who led the party, said in Christchurch last night. He spoke after a rally had been held at the Opawa Baptist Church. The party held eight meetings in both the North and South Islands. The idea behind the tour was to stimulate interest in the movement in New Zealand, Mr Pell said. Members of five of Australia's major denominations were included in the party. At the public rallies, demonstrations of Christian Endeavour methods were given. These were designed to train young people tor Christian witness and service in the community, said Mr Pell.
The attendance at the meeting last evening was disappointing, Mr Pell said, but the rally was nevertheless a successful one. Today, the party will leave for Australia.
