Feat Of Six Birds

In toe second month of toe New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s laying trial Mr R. J. Thom’s team of six White Leghorns laid 1«6 eggs in 28 days. Ulis is the highest total ever recorded frtw a six-bird team since toe trials started. In toe same period Mr W. A. McClatohy’s team at 20 Australorps laid 488 eggs. Leading teams in toe trial at toe end of toe second month were:— Six-hard teams.—AustoaIorw : E. G. Wood (Leeston) with 313 eggs. White Leghorns: R. J. Thom (Christchurch) wito 310 eggs. Any other variety: C. M. Goodman (Nelson) with 805 eggs from Barred Rocks.

Twenty-bird teams.—Australorps: G. W. Graham (Ashburton) with 940 eggs. White Leghorns: Mrs A. V. Christianson (Timaru) with 782 eggs.
