Stockings Save Boy’s Life
(NJIJ’^.-Reuter—Copyright) ADELAIDE, May 8.
A woman used her stockings for tourniquets when an 11-year-old schoolboy had his right arm and leg almost severed by a train at Elizabeth, 15 miles north of Adelaide, yesterday.
Ambulance men said the woman’s prompt action probably saved the boy’s life. The boy. John William Berry, is in a serious condition, but doctors hope to save his limbs.
