Criticism By Farmers
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, May 7. Freezing workers in Otago and Southland were entitled to wiser leadership, claimed the chairman of the meat and wool section of Otago Federated Farmers. Mr A. Scaife, of Wanaka, at the annual section conference this morning. Mr Scaife was referring to the past killing season in Otago and Southland. ■'Those people responsible for the stoppage must surely have been well aware they were creating disruption in a major industry on a very paltry issue. "Those who suffered most from the effects of the strike must have been many of the workers and their families,” he said.
