Work As Usual For Lottery Winners

(A'ew Zealand Press Association)

NEW PLYMOUTH, Mav 2.

Life in the Ferguson family in Stratford went on as usual today in spite of its win £12,000 in the No. 96 Golden Kiwi lottery.

Mr G. IL Ferguson, a farmer, was out on a stock-buying trip and his daughter, Elwyn, who is believed to have bought the ticket in Wanganui, was at her desk at the Bank of New Zealand as usual. ,

Mrs Ferguson at her Brecon road home said she heard the news about 9 a.m., but did not believe the family had won the prize although several friends had telephoned to congratulate them. The family had two tickets in the draw—the one bought in Wanganui and another bought in Stratford by Mr Ferguson. It is not certain yet which was the winning one but Mrs Ferguson said it was almost certainly the one bought by her daughter. A complete list of prizewinning tickets, including £5 prizes, will be advertised later. The following is the unofficial prize list:— £ 12,000 34279. G. H. Ferguson.
