(N .Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 1. British motorists convicted of three offences in three years will be automatically banned from driving under new laws introduced today according to the “Daily Sketch.’’
The Transport Minister, Mr Ernest Marples, will announce the new road rules—the strictest ever known in Britain, the newspaper said. The count-down driving baa must be enforced by courts unless there were "clear grounds for mitigation.”
British courts would get greater. powers in dealing with all motoring offences. “Drivers will be disqualified automatically for manslaughter, causing death by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, being under Die influence of drink and driving while disqualified.” the “Daily Sketch” added.
