Watties And General Foods Again Ease
J. Wattie Canneries and General Foods, which fell Id and 4d respectively on Wednesday, each fell 6d in yesterday’s trading. The announcement of the Wattie share issue was made after the afternoon call.
Markets were again active and buoyant. New Zealand shares made more than three gains for every loss and overseas shares made nearly two gains for every loss. A total of 106 issues appeared on the sales list, compared with 107 on Wednesday.
