Butter Subsidy
Sir,—At last toe spokesman of the dairy farmers are accusing toe Government of being weak-kneed, just because they could not get the extra unwarranted increase on toe price of butter sold locally The dairy farmer ca t only blame himself and the National Government. First the Government for lifting land sales, and second the farmer for paying ridiculous and unproductive values for his land Now they want the wage and salary earners to carry them The Cabinet, as before, will appoint a tribunal to handle this, as usual being willing to waste thousands of pounds of toe people’s money in appointing tribunals and commissions.—Yours, eitc., T H BTTMEAD April 25, 1963.
