TROTTING Great Credit Selected For Forbury First Leg

.Great Credit will be strongly supported when he tries for his fifth win for the season in the Winter Handicap at Forbury Park tomorrow. This race is the first leg of th® double on the first night of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s winter meeting.

Great Credit has finished second at his last two starts, overcoming slow beginnings for narrow defeats. He was second to Southern Cross over two miles in 4:15 4-5 at Addington on April 6, and a week later he was beaten a nose by Robin Dundee in the Autumn Handicap. He is meeting stronger opposition in this field, but if he begins reasonably well, he should go close to winning.

Doctor Dan won impressively on the first day of the Addington meeting, finished eighth a week later, and on the final day of the meeting he finished boldly for third in the Easter Cup. The Fallacy four-year-old is in splendid form at present and he will only need to receive a reasonable run to be one of the hardest to beat.

Peel raced a shade disappointingly at Addington, but he is too good to discard yet. He looks to be favourably placed on the front and should be to the fore throughout.

TYade Fair will be in demand after his dashing sprint win on the final day at Ad-

dington. He was unbeaten in three starts on the course earlier in the year and now that he is back to form, he must be given a great chance of extending his record. Flying Blue, Flying Note and Lauder Scott appeal most of the others on the front, but they should be held safely by Robin Dundee, which gained a narrow but overdue win on the final day of the Addington Easter meeting. That was only her second start after a short let-

up and she could be an even better mare this week.

Junior Royal is racing most erratically just now, but he did well to finish fourth in the race won by Robin Dundee on April 13. He is good enough to be a winning prospect and could easily surprise. •

Gildirect and Jay Ar were second and third respectively in this race 12 months ago. They share the back mark of 24 yards and could get into the finish.

Toby Brigade and Deft will probably dispute favouritism in the second leg. the Renown Handicap. Both have splendid form backgrounds and they should be the hardest to beat. Inglemead, Massacre. Young Dieman, Robyn. Carver Doon and Dyson are others expected to race prominently.
