SEWER WORK LOANS
Record Public Subscription
Subscriptions to Christchurch Drainage Board loans in the year which ended on March 31 were a record £951,160.
Detailing the loans the secretary-treasurer (Mr T. A Tucker) saad there had been steady support far the four public issue* placed on the market Ln addition, two renewal loans and a final instalment of the advance* loan were raiised.
As a result it bad been possible to press on with tne letting of contracts under the second stage of the reticulation programme without the financial worries that affected the letting of contract* in 1961-62, he said.
