Fume Problem Solved
(NJ!. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 25. Auckland’s fume problem, arising from pollution of the mudflats in the Mangere inlet, is over and done with, according to the Auckland chemical inspector for the Health Department, Mr C. F. Denmead Hydrogen sulphide concentrations recorded by samplers around the Manukau harbour have fallen to a thousandth or less of the concentrations recorded before the Westfield trade wastes were diverted into the Mangere drainage scheme, he said today.
